Hi I’m Ian, a Sydney based wedding and family photographer.

I photograph weddings and families in a natural, documentary style, focusing on real moments as they happen rather than stiff poses or forced direction.

My work is shaped by time spent living and photographing in London and Berlin, where I developed a love for honest storytelling and unobtrusive photography. That approach continues today in Sydney capturing connection, emotion, and the small in-between moments that often mean the most.

I believe the best photographs come from trust and comfort. On a wedding day, my role is to blend in, observe, and document what’s unfolding, the quiet nerves, the laughter, the energy of the room without interrupting it. For families, sessions are relaxed and child-led, allowing space for genuine interaction rather than perfection.
